The business was founded in 2021 by a female and male founder who previously worked together for 12 years in a FTSE500 recruitment agency before starting up. The founders have followed each other through their careers and are very well aligned on how they lead the team and operate the recruitment market!
They specialise in Accountancy, Finance and Operations recruitment focusing on placing professionals from middle management to c-suite level with their main sectors being Commercial and Not-For-Profit. 80% of their work is retained (and they train people on selling retainers!), with 1/3 of their recruitment being contract/interim, and the remaining 2/3 permanent placements. They have grown to 15 employees in less than 3 years, have a multi-million pound turnover, and already have 5 people in the team billing between £400k-£600k.
Their culture is very entrepreneurial and they encourage independent thought and autonomy. The people who work there are essentially being given the platform to run their own business within the business, and although a start-up they offer excellent benefits such as the 4-day work week, work from anywhere 2 weeks per year, private healthcare, life insurance, and team away incentives (last summer they took the whole company to stay in Salcombe)!
